2 lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cups sliced mushrooms
2 cups beef broth
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Shape into meatballs.
(Optional) Brown meatballs in a skillet for added flavor.
Place mushrooms and onions in slow cooker. Add meatballs on top.
Pour beef broth mixture over. Cover and cook on Low 6–7 hours or High 3–4 hours.
Stir gently and serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Browning meatballs adds richness but can be skipped.
Add cream for a thicker, richer gravy.
Great for freezing and meal prep.
