Easy Amish Apple Fritter Bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar + 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.

  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.

  • Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and milk. Stir in flour and baking powder.

  • Layer half the batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar. Repeat. Swirl gently.

  • Bake 50–60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes.

  • Drizzle with glaze and serve.

Notes

Tart apples like Granny Smith work best. For a richer loaf, add nuts or a cream cheese glaze.
