Cheesy Beef Tortellini Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

  • 3 cups marinara sauce

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

  • Cook onion in olive oil 3 minutes. Add garlic, cook 1 minute.

  • Add beef, cook until browned, about 7 minutes. Drain grease.

  • Stir in marinara and seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes.

  • Add uncooked tortellini to baking dish. Pour beef mixture over and stir.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan on top.

  • Bake 25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.

  • Rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.

  • Use Italian sausage instead of beef for more flavor.
