1 lb ground beef
1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
3 cups marinara sauce
1 small onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
Cook onion in olive oil 3 minutes. Add garlic, cook 1 minute.
Add beef, cook until browned, about 7 minutes. Drain grease.
Stir in marinara and seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes.
Add uncooked tortellini to baking dish. Pour beef mixture over and stir.
Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan on top.
Bake 25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
Use Italian sausage instead of beef for more flavor.
